Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, gearing up for his Orlando concert, recently infused a touch of desi charm into the foreign locale by showcasing the traditional art of making shardai.
In a captivating Instagram video, Dosanjh unveiled the meticulous process behind crafting this invigorating drink. Shardai, a concoction rich with almonds, pistachios, sunflower, pumpkin, poppy, fennel, cardamom, and melon seeds, accompanied by a hint of black pepper and ice, formed the basis of his recipe. Demonstrating his expertise, Dosanjh expertly ground the medley of ingredients into a fine powder using a rustic mud vessel and a hefty pestle, ensuring a uniform consistency. With finesse, he then blended the powdered mixture in a circular motion, culminating in a fragrant and flavorful paste.
